Cancer Bats Need More Cowbell!

My favorite product of Canada, the hardcore punk outfit Cancer Bats, have announced the name of their upcoming album: Bears, Mayors, Scraps And Bones. It will be the follow-up to their sophomore album, the ferocious Hail Destroyer. Check out their update below, which reveals the secret ingredients for Bears, Mayors, Scraps and Bones: a Beastie Boys cover and more cowbell!

Marilyn Manson "Unfortunately" Is Still Alive

Apparently, even the Antichrist himself isn't immune to the H1N1 Virus known more commonly as the Swine Flu. The goth superstar reported on his MySpace blog that he "...officially been diagnosed, by a real doctor, with THE SWINE FLU." He continues:

"I know everyone will suggest that fucking a pig is how this disease was obtained. However, the doctor said, my past choices in women have in no way contributed to me acquiring this mysterious sickness. Unfortunately, I am going to survive."

We wish you the best- errr, the worst.

Thoughts on who/where he contracted it from?

Dillinger Checks In From the Studio: Week One

New Jersey's finest mathcore monsters of mayhem posted the first studio update for their fourth studio album Option Paralysis on their YouTube earlier today. Contained in the video are brief but beastly drum samples from the new drummer Billy Rymer who replaced Gil Sharone in January. This will be Dillinger's first record put out on their own label, Party Smasher Inc., and will be available in early 2010.

New Music: Death Cab For Cutie

Pacific Northwest indie greats Death Cab For Cutie just released their single Meet Me On the Equinox last Sunday. The track will appear on the Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack which it was written for exclusively. Ben Gibbard said the song is "about meeting another halfway, because life is very short."
